  • St Patrick's Student Drop Off Zone

With children starting to return to school over the next two weeks, we have asked parents to not attend site wherever possible to limit the number of people onsite. In order to assist with dropping off students at school, we have implemented a "drop zone" in the netball carpark, which will be manned by a staff member each morning. This video provides a demonstration of how the drop zone will work for the rest of this term. Please note that the disabled carpark near the uniform shop has been moved to the northern side of the carpark.

  • 2021 Prep Enrolment Information

Unfortunately we have had to cancel our annual prep information evening this year due to the COVID-19 situation. In replacement, our School Principal, Michael Bourne, and Deputy Principal, Tracey Brincat, have recorded this video to provide all of the information that would normally be covered in the information evening.

  • Return of school equipment

Next week sees the return of our Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 students and whilst the school staff are pleased to see them return, I am sure that our families are also pleased to see them finish their remote learning. The school lent ICT equipment to many families, including laptops (and chargers), internet dongles and stylus in order to assist with remote learning. If you do not need the equipment for older siblings in Years 3-6, can we please ask that all equipment is returned to school on Tuesday morning BEFORE school, so that it can be sanitised and returned to the relevant classes ready for use. In order to reflect the need to minimise adults onsite, there will be a station setup outside of the front foyer where equipment can be returned. Staff will be at the station to scan the equipment back into the school as proof of your return of the equipment. If you are aware of any issues with the equipment, please let the staff member know so that we can have it resolved before the equipment goes back into use.

  • Playground Markings

Yesterday (Saturday) the painting of items on the concrete areas of the school were completed. We are really looking forward to seeing our children engaging with the new activities as they return over the coming weeks.

  • 2020 COMMUNICATION SURVEY

The school prides itself on the multiple ways that we can communicate with our school families and ensure that messages get out to families as required. That said, we understand that particularly in these current circumstances, communication between families and schools is a paramount. In order to ensure that we are meeting the needs of our families, I have prepared a short survey (5 questions) and ask that you take 1 or 2 minutes to complete it so that the school can ensure that we are communicating with you in the best way possible. Thank you to everyone for completing this. The survey will be in this week's newsletter and then close next Wednesday 20 May. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScD0mgwurVUIHJ7rpB0IbEyK2jmFht7OW6c4P6OT6SRci8VEw/viewform

  • PLAYGROUND EXCITEMENT

We are very excited to announce that tomorrow morning, BrighterLines will be at school to add some colour and activity to the concreted areas of the school. We will be having things like snakes & ladders, hopscotch, alphabet snake, number worm, an activity track and more added throughout the school to give the children even more interesting things to do during recess and lunch times. As a result of this, we will need to close some areas of the school playground tomorrow during recess and lunch so that these works can be done. The oval, sandpits near the adventure playground, and netball courts will be open for play tomorrow. Can we please ask those families that will have children on site tomorrow to let your children know about this, so that they are prepared for the changes they will see tomorrow. We will post photos once it is done so that you can see what will await the children once school is reopened to all.
