Welcome to St Patrick's website.
We are very proud of St. Patrick’s Primary School, Kilmore, which is a systemic co-educational Catholic Primary School at the western end of the Kilmore township about 60 kilometres north of Melbourne. Our school was established in 1968. The parish of St. Patrick’s Kilmore was established in 1849. St Patrick's Parish is the oldest inland Catholic Parish in Victoria.
Our School was established with a Mercy Charism and our school motto is "Following in the Footsteps of the Lord." We encourage our children to think of how Jesus would act, think or talk when dealing with others.
We have been very fortunate with the building of a new and wonderful building. At the end of the 2010 academic school year St. Patrick’s moved to our new site in Conway Street. Our new school has been designed to allow the delivery of a 21st Century curriculum in learning areas that encourage collaborative learning. With open spaces built around a shared learning area the children are offered a learning environment that encourages the pursuit of excellence. The school comprises 21 home groups which are divided into the four major learning areas of Prep, Junior, Middle and Senior Levels. The Junior, Middle and Senior Learning areas comprise six spaces whilst the Prep Learning Area involves three classes. The school also incorporates a Discovery Centre, Visual Arts Centre, Performing Arts Centre and Stadium. In 2012, major works are being undertaken to complete the external facilities of the school.
Our building and grounds are new and exciting but more importantly, the 'feeling' in our community for our children and their families is also exciting but based on traditional values of welcome, warmth and gathering.
Come and have a cuppa after Assembly on Fridays.
